Holistic Education Theme Weeks Coming This Spring! These weeks are open to any student from any school!
At Elite Preparatory Academy, we believe that education should go beyond the classroom. That’s why we’re excited to invite students to participate in two upcoming Holistic Education Theme Weeks, where academics meet real-world experiences in exciting, interdisciplinary ways.
Holistic education nurtures the whole student—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Our theme weeks will reflect this philosophy, blending classroom learning with field experiences that will spark curiosity and deepen understanding across subjects.
💉 Healthcare Week: April 27th–30th
During Healthcare Week, students will explore the science, systems, and human aspects of the medical world through integrated lessons and hands-on experiences.
📚 What Students Will Learn:
- Algebra – Explore prescription pricing using linear equations
- Art – Create health awareness posters to spread around the community.
- Art History – Study illness and healing in global art in history.
- Psychology – Learn about stress and the teenage brain
- Sociology – Discuss healthcare inequality in modern society
- Chemistry – Uncover how medications are made
- Biology – Understand how vaccines work
- Geometry – Design a functional hospital floor plan
- World History – Trace pandemics throughout history and how they were handled.
- Macroeconomics – Analyze the economics of public health
- Spanish – Practice asking for help in medical situations
🏥 Where Students Will Go and Do:
- Visit a Hospital, Testing Clinic, and Pharmaceutical Lab to witness the healthcare system in action.
- Participate in a CPR and First Aid Workshop led by visiting healthcare professionals.
🌊 Aquatic Environment Week: June 2nd–6th
During Aquatic Environment Week, students will explore the wonders of the ocean—its science, beauty, and impact on the world—through immersive academic and outdoor experiences.
📚 What Students Will Learn:
- Algebra – Model fish population growth
- Art – Create underwater-inspired art
- Art History – Examine ocean imagery in global cultures from historical perspectives
- Psychology – Investigate how water affects mental health and focus
- Sociology – Study life in coastal communities
- Chemistry – Examine water chemistry and what’s in the sea
- Biology – Explore marine life adaptations
- Geometry – Design a sustainable floating city
- World History – Learn how oceans shaped civilizations
- Macroeconomics – Discuss the Blue Economy and marine trade
- Spanish – Learn fishing and ocean-related vocabulary
🌊 Where Students Will Go:
- Go diving in a learning pool with instructions from diving masters
- Go fishing in the sea for hands-on marine exploration with expert fishermen
- Visit an Aquarium to observe aquatic species and discuss ocean conservation
- Explore a Fishermen’s Wharf and discover local maritime culture
