Lesson 5: Group Discussion Preparation

Completion requirements
  • Objective: Prepare to initiate the group discussion and practice speaking confidently.
  • Instructions:
    1. Practice Speaking: Take turns with a partner to practice speaking about your discussion points. Time yourself to ensure you can present your ideas clearly within a few minutes.
    2. Prepare to Listen: Reflect on how you plan to engage with your peers' ideas. What follow-up questions can you ask? How will you show that you’re actively listening?
    3. Review the Guidelines: Go over the discussion guidelines one more time to make sure you are ready for the actual conversation.
