Completion requirements
  • Objective: Understand the purpose of narrative writing and the narrative techniques to be used.
  • Instructions:
    1. Define Narrative Writing: Discuss how narrative writing tells a story, and the importance of creating a setting, characters, conflict, and resolution.
    2. Introduce Narrative Techniques: Review at least two narrative techniques such as:
      • Flashback: A scene set earlier than the main story to provide background or insight.
      • Dialogue: Conversations between characters that reveal personality or move the plot forward.
      • Pacing: Controlling the speed of the story’s progression.
      • Foreshadowing: Hinting at events to come in the story.
    3. Choose Your Techniques: Decide on two techniques to use in your story (e.g., flashback and dialogue).
